WELCOME

The Society of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland Committee, cordially invite you to join us for the 47th Congress on Perfusion, 5th-7th November 2021.

Core topics: Cerebral protection and coagulation management.

The meeting is open to Perfusionists, both members and non-members of the SCPS, commercial medical industries and anyone involved in cardiothoracic surgery, extra-corporeal circulation and blood preservation techniques.

“The decision to hold the event in person has always been the desire of the Executive committee. The last year and a half would have seen us all working in less familiar circumstances and many of us will still be living with these changes. It is really important that we can create a safe and supportive environment to meet. The value of this congress is not only to share in learning and experience, but also to remind ourselves we are a huge support network for each other, which cannot be fully recognised in a virtual event. I appreciate a large in person event will be the first that many have attended since 23rd March 2020. I have been working with the hotel to maintain some Covid 19 safety measures are kept, so attendees feel comfortable and confident to return to such a venue. It is important that we show respectful behaviours as we return to our new normal at differing paces.”

ETHICAL MEDTECH COMPLIANT

SCPS AGM 2021 is Ethical MedTech conference vetting system (CVS) compliant. The CSV is a unique initiative in the healthcare industry.  It is a centralised decision-making system that encourages transparency and consistency in medical education events and alleviates the complex administrative burden previously faced by MedTech Europe and Mecomed members, who were constrained to make their own determinations on whether or not a third-party educational event they wished to provide support to was compliant with the associations’ respective Codes. - TO BE CONFIRMED
